Common questions

How do I enter feet, inches or fractions?

Tap a dimension to open the measurement editor. Use the fraction keys or “Type or paste.” Examples include 12′ 7 3/8″, 12-7-3/8, 12.5 ft and 3.5 m. A number without a unit uses the unit shown in the field. Use a decimal point or decimal comma without thousands separators.

Switch between Imperial and Metric to convert valid inputs. Settings lets you choose fraction display precision.

Which tools are free, and what does Pro include?

Concrete, Paint, Square Up, the measurement editor and local projects are free. Lifetime Pro is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks editing, saving and sharing for Decking, Stairs and Board Feet. There is no subscription. The purchase screen shows the current price from your App Store region.

I purchased Pro. How do I restore it?

Connect to the internet and use the Apple Account that made the purchase. Open Settings → Restore Purchases, or choose Restore Purchases on the Pro screen. If Apple verifies your Lifetime Pro purchase, the tools unlock. A purchase awaiting approval unlocks after Apple approves it.

If restoration still fails, check your connection and purchase history, then contact support with the error message. See Apple’s purchase-restoration help.

Why is the App Store price unavailable?

Buying or restoring Pro needs an internet connection and an available App Store product. Connect, open the Pro screen and tap Retry App Store. Check that you are signed in to the App Store. If the issue continues, contact support. The free calculators and saved projects work offline.

Who handles payments and refunds?

Apple processes the purchase and billing. For a charge, receipt or refund request, use Apple’s Report a Problem service. Refund eligibility is determined by Apple. See Apple’s refund guidance. Contact us for app or unlock problems.

How do I save, reuse or share an estimate?

Tap Save estimate, choose or create a project, and name the estimate. Open Projects to revisit inputs, rename, delete or share. Sharing opens the iOS share sheet so you choose the destination.

Projects are stored on your device; the app has no cloud-sync service. Share important reports and maintain device backups before replacing or erasing your iPhone. Deleting the app can remove its local projects.

A project cannot be opened or saved. What should I do?

Restart the app, unlock your iPhone and check available storage. If projects still cannot be opened, keep the app installed and contact support. The app preserves an unreadable project file instead of overwriting it; reinstalling may erase that data.

How are quantities and costs calculated?

Open Show the math to review inputs, formulas, waste, rounding and assumptions. Costs use the unit prices you enter and exclude labor, delivery and taxes. Currency selection changes the label; it does not convert prices. Imperial paint quantities use US gallons.

Verify dimensions, supplier yields, order increments and site conditions. These estimates are planning aids, not structural engineering approval or building-code certification. Stair envelope diagonals are not finished stringer cut lengths.
